What Is Slate
Slate is a type of sedimentary rock formed by a metamorphic process. Slate rock can be found in many different colors and shades. Slate is mined thoughout many parts of the world but is most commonly mined from Europe. Here in the US, we have our own slate supplies, mainly in New York and Pennsylvania.
